HOW IT WORKS

We’ve streamlined our operational workflows to provide actionable results to providers quickly, which, in turn, allows patients to be treated sooner.
1. ONLINE REGISTRATION
Provider completes provider registration form and submits registration online. Medical credentials are validated, and registration is completed within 24 hours. Provider may begin submitting SIBO test orders for patients.
2. ORDER SUBMISSION
Provider faxes completed laboratory requisition. If a SIBO test with lactulose is ordered, a patient's prescription for lactulose is also required and must be faxed along with the completed laboratory requisition.
3. ADDRESS VERIFICATION AND TEST KIT PAYMENT
Receipt of laboratory requisition (and lactulose Rx, if applicable) triggers an outreach call (patients age 20 and younger or 60 and older) or secure text (patients age 21-59) to the patient to verify mailing address, insurance, and answer any questions. The test kit shipping fee of $42 is also processed at this stage.
4. TEST KIT SHIPS TO PATIENT
Test kits are processed and ship to patients within 24 hours of test kit payment. Test kits are delivered to the patient's home within 1-2 business days.
5. SAME-DAY SAMPLE ANALYSIS
Patient returns samples using pre-paid shipping label. Samples are analyzed the same day they arrive at the lab. Results are reported to the ordering provider either the day that the samples arrive or the morning of the following business day.

6. LAB CHARGES BILLED TO INSURANCE
An insurance claim is filed with the patient's insurance carrier, and the patient is invoiced after claim adjudication. For self pay patients, the laboratory charges are collected before test results are released. The patient is never responsible for more than $225 for the laboratory charges.
